In 1954, George Twist saw an opportunity and built something unique—the first and only “shanty” rental company serving Buffalo, WNY, and the surrounding areas. His vision laid the foundation for a business rooted in reliability, service, and trust.
For 40 years, his son, Oliver “Mick” Twist, carried that legacy forward, expanding and strengthening the business. Now, as we step into the future, the next generation—Whitney Twist, Olivia Twist-Zawistowski, and Justin Zawistowski—is proud to continue that tradition under a new name: Shanty Box.
